REFERENCE ACQUISITION

Built to preserve disagreement.

The RIN-6 was developed with Wyman Laboratory's Observation & Field Systems group for experiments in which timing, position, magnetic, and atmospheric reference channels must remain independently traceable.

Unlike conventional field controllers, the Wyman configuration does not require the software to select a single preferred reference solution when multiple inputs remain internally valid. Raw solutions, residuals, and sensor-bus state can be retained together for later comparison.

Why?Forced reconciliation can erase the sequence of events that produced an instrument disagreement. The RIN-6 preserves pre-correction state as part of the record.
Reference inputs
2 independent GNSS timing / position receivers
Clock interfaces
10 MHz · PPS · PTP · IRIG-B option
Sensor buses
Ethernet · RS-485 · CAN · isolated analog
Raw capture
Up to 1 kHz aggregate reference / housekeeping stream
Dual-solution preservation
ENABLED — two independently valid solutions may be retained without forced convergence
Solution-separation channel
Computed and logged even when reported coordinate fields are identical

Configuration note

The WFI-06 field profile is configuration-controlled by Wyman Laboratory. Arkweather publishes mechanical, electrical, environmental, and standard interface information only. Research processing profiles are client maintained.
